Motorcycle Cannonball 2014 #57 Colorado

Stage 14

Klamath Falls, OR to Fortuna, CA.
Great day. Sent the support vehicles out in front of the riders today. Left at 7:00. Ian’s still broke down so he’s keeping me company and between him and Betty (GPS) we get to where we’re suppose to. Both riders and support on the same route today. It was scrumptious scenery. The change from when we left OR and then down the coast was breathtaking. The twisties , redwoods, the ocean. How did we get to be so lucky? Gary put his hands on a 1500 yr old redwood LOVED that. He did hit a pretty good pot hole that knocked him for a loop.
Tonight was repacking the rear hub, new chain on, adjust the valves, adjust the chains, reset the points, lube.

“Live from New York, it’s Saturday Night!’ Hello again, Gary and Linda,
We’ve resigned ourselves to being a day behind from here to the end because we can’t keep waiting up until 2:30 A.M. Eastern for the latest results and postings. So we’re commenting on Stage 14 while it is in fact 7:47 P.M. Pacific on 9/22 and you’ve hopefully successfully completed Stage 15 and are looking at the final 93 miles and the “Golden Gate.” Upper: Victor Boocock rejoining the Cannonball for the ride in; Downer: Scott Jacobs and Kris Thompson losing their perfect scores at the very end after such a great run. Hope today went well and tomorrow is even better with a wonderful finale. Safety and success——-Ron and Dixie
