Gary and Linda,
Happy New Year!
So was it a loose valve seat that caused all the trouble?! Bummer! Oh well——
The way that engine sounds now, it could make the trip both ways.
Everybody is talking 2016 and 100 years old or older (bikes, not riders). The same uncle that had the JD I now have, had a 2013 Excelsior twin hanging on his garage wall (he gave it away many decades ago– the hone marks were still visible on the cylinder walls–double bummer)!! I sent Brad Wilmarth a picture some time back.
Now you can ride year-’round, but you’re welcome to keep the snow–so far we’ve largely escaped, but winter has just begun. take care,
Ron and Dixie
Wright on Gary! Looks like that desert finally got some snow to play in… Sounds pretty good for a tac welded valve seat too!
Looks like a ton of fun. The bike is sounding good too. Happy NewYear to you, Linda and your loved ones.
back at ya Dan , hope you guys are good. and it is a kick when its slick. road about 10 miles in the low 20s. what a way to start the year.
